The IRCTC scam plea filed by former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi took a fresh turn in Delhi. She asked the court to shift her trial to another judge, saying she feared she would not receive fair and impartial justice. Her IRCTC scam plea also mentioned that the current judge often sided with the prosecution.
Judge Dinesh Bhatt listened to her request and issued a notice to the CBI. The court asked the agency to file its response. However, the judge kept the ongoing trial active and did not stop any proceedings.
Rabri Devi is facing four cases, including the land-for-job case and the IRCTC hotel scam. All these cases are currently handled by Special Judge Vishal Gogne. She argued that the judge showed signs of bias. According to her petition, only a transfer to another competent court could ensure fair justice.
The court reviewed her concerns and set December 6 as the next hearing date.
