Lalu Nitish Distance Widens as New Government Shifts Residences

Lalu Nitish distance increases after bungalow relocation in Bihar

The Lalu Nitish distance has grown again in Bihar’s political circles. The Lalu Nitish distance increased soon after the new government changed the official residences of several leaders. For years, Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav lived right across the street. Their close proximity showed their once-strong political bond.

Now, their homes are more than 200 meters apart. The Building Construction Department shifted Rabri Devi from her long-time residence at 10 Circular Road to a new house at 39 Hardinge Road. Her family lived at the old bungalow for nearly twenty years. The move came soon after the change in government.

Rohini Acharya, Lalu’s daughter, strongly criticised this decision. She said the government tried to insult her father. She added that removing Lalu from a house will not remove him from the hearts of Bihar’s people.

The RJD also called the relocation political revenge. Party spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav said the BJP’s growing influence in the government led to such decisions. Meanwhile, the government allotted new residences to 13 ministers. Tej Pratap Yadav’s earlier bungalow was given to BJP minister Lakhendra Roshan.

This shift reflects rising tensions, changing alliances, and a clear cooling of relations between two major Bihar leaders.
