Border Students Selected as Agniveers Honoured by Ferozepur Administration

border students selected as Agniveers

The border students selected as Agniveers brought pride to the region as eight students from Government Senior Secondary School, Gatti Rajo Ke, cleared both the written and physical rounds of the Indian Army’s Agniveer 2025 recruitment. The achievement reflects the hard work, discipline and determination of youth who grow up in challenging border-area conditions.

School in-charge Tajinder Singh said the students trained consistently through NCC activities, which strengthened their physical and mental preparation. Lieutenant Pritpal Singh explained that the school introduced NCC in 2020 through the efforts of National Awardee Principal Dr. Satinder Singh. Because of that initiative, more than 15 students from the school have joined the Army in recent years.

Currently, 53 students attend NCC training, and they follow a roster schedule that helps them prepare for careers in the Army and paramilitary forces.

Assistant Commissioner Ferozepur, Gurdev Singh Dhamm (PCS), honoured all eight selected youth during a special ceremony. District Education Officer (Secondary) Munila Arora also applauded the school for guiding students toward disciplined careers.

Dr. Satinder Singh congratulated the successful candidates and said their achievement will inspire more border-area students. He added that NCC training and regular interaction with Army and BSF officers shaped the confidence of the young aspirants.
