Bihar IAS transfers announcement and officer reshuffle meeting

The Bihar government has carried out a major reshuffle under the latest Bihar IAS transfers, aiming to strengthen administrative efficiency across key departments. The state shifted five senior IAS officers and assigned additional responsibilities to two others. These Bihar IAS transfers highlight the government’s push for faster decision-making and better coordination.

Mihir Kumar Singh, a 1993-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Development Commissioner. Commercial Tax Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh will now also serve as Special Officer in the Home Department.

Kaushal Kishore, Divisional Commissioner of Darbhanga, has received additional charge of the Tirhut Division. Kartikeya Dhanji has been relieved from Industry Secretary duties, while Kundan Kumar has taken over as Industry Secretary along with the additional charge of Resident Commissioner at Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi.

More changes were made through the same order. CK Anil is now Principal Secretary of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department. Deepak Kumar Singh has taken charge as Director General–Chief Investigation Commissioner in the General Administration Department. Rajkumar will now serve as Secretary of the Transport Department.

This reshuffle reflects the state’s focus on stronger governance and improved administrative performance.
