Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Vijayawada visit has been officially confirmed. The YSRCP announced that he will tour the city today to meet families affected by the Jobi Nagar house demolitions. An official statement was released by the party’s central office regarding the visit.
According to the schedule, Jagan Mohan Reddy will arrive at Gannavaram Airport around 12 noon. From there, he will proceed directly to Jobi Nagar in Vijayawada. The affected residents will be met at the demolition site. Their grievances are expected to be heard during the visit.
The YSRCP stated that the victims had earlier met Jagan Mohan Reddy and explained how their houses were demolished by the government. In response, the decision to visit the location personally was taken. The situation of the displaced families will be reviewed on the spot.
Meanwhile, heightened police alertness has been reported in Vijayawada ahead of the visit. Preventive arrests of YSRCP leaders and party workers are said to be underway. Security arrangements have been tightened as the political temperature rises in the city.
