Rapper and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh has landed in controversy once again over his latest Punjabi song, Nagan. A BJP leader from Jalandhar has formally complained to the Punjab Police, demanding strict action against the artist.

Arvind Sharma, BJP Punjab co-convener, submitted a written complaint to the Punjab Director General of Police. He alleged that the song contains obscene visuals and objectionable dance sequences. Sharma claimed these scenes insult Punjabi culture and promote vulgarity in the name of entertainment.

In his complaint, Sharma urged the police to register an FIR against Honey Singh. He also demanded the immediate removal of Nagan from YouTube and all digital platforms. According to him, the content disrespects women and damages the cultural values Punjab is known for.

Sharma stated that Punjabi culture represents dignity, respect, and tradition. He argued that such songs hurt public sentiments, especially among youth. The BJP leader accused popular artists of misusing their influence to normalize indecency.

The controversy has sparked debate on social media, with mixed reactions from fans and critics. While some defended creative freedom, others supported stricter regulation of content. Police officials have not yet confirmed whether action will follow. The matter remains under review as authorities examine the complaint and the song’s content.
