Amit Shah Launches MP Growth Summit in Gwalior, marking a major step toward industrial expansion in Madhya Pradesh. On Thursday, the Union Home Minister inaugurated the “Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit” and laid foundation stones for projects worth ₹2 lakh crore.
The event coincided with the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Shah also inaugurated the historic Gwalior Fair and dedicated the renovated Atal Museum to the public. Officials said the summit reflects Vajpayee’s vision of inclusive growth and strong infrastructure.
According to the state government, the new industrial projects will create nearly 1.93 lakh employment opportunities. Around 25,000 beneficiaries attended the summit. Thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders also participated.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav joined the event along with Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar and BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal were also present.
CM Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is moving steadily toward the goal of a developed India. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for driving economic reforms and investor confidence.
Officials said the Growth Summit goes beyond investment announcements. It presents an integrated development model. The focus includes industry, urban growth, tourism, MSMEs, startups, and employment generation working together for long-term progress.
