Bihar has received approval for 170 national projects in Bihar with a total investment of ₹6.58 lakh crore. These projects aim to strengthen infrastructure, improve connectivity, and accelerate economic growth across the state. 170 national projects in Bihar cover key sectors such as roads, railways, power, gas, and telecommunications.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said most hurdles linked to these projects have already been resolved. Around 96 percent of the issues related to land and clearances are no longer blocking progress. The state government has coordinated closely with central agencies to speed up execution.
Out of the total projects, work on 60 projects worth about ₹1.28 lakh crore is complete. These projects are already benefiting the public. The remaining 110 projects, valued at nearly ₹5.30 lakh crore, are under different stages of construction.
Road infrastructure forms a major part of the plan. More than 70 highway and road projects are moving ahead at a faster pace. Railway expansion projects are also underway to improve passenger and freight movement.
The state monitors progress through the Prime Minister’s Gati Shakti portal. Officials believe these projects will create jobs, attract investment, and support long-term development in Bihar.
