Naxal Network Dismantled in Bihar: 13 Hardcore Militants Arrested

Naxal network dismantled in Bihar as police display seized weapons and arrested militants

The Naxal network dismantled in Bihar after police arrested 13 hardcore militants during operations across several districts. Authorities said the arrests took place mainly in Nawada, Jamui, Banka, Lakhisarai and other Naxal-affected areas during March. The Naxal network dismantled in Bihar marks a major success for security forces working to eliminate extremist activity in the state.

Police recovered a large cache of weapons and explosives from the militants. Seized items included AK-47 rifles, country-made pistols, cartridges, detonators and other ammunition. Officers carried out intensive search operations in multiple districts to track down the suspects and seize the weapons.

Officials said several of the arrested militants had been absconding for many years and were wanted in old criminal cases. Some suspects were also linked to incidents dating back more than a decade.

Police added that strong intelligence inputs and coordination with neighbouring states, especially Jharkhand, helped dismantle the militant network. Authorities believe the crackdown has significantly weakened Naxal activity in Bihar’s affected districts.
