The Bihar Agriculture Department Job Boost received strong approval on Tuesday as the state cabinet cleared 694 new posts in the agriculture department. The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, focused on employment generation and better public services. The cabinet approved new positions that include plant protection supervisors and inspectors. These roles will help improve crop safety, pest control, and overall farm productivity. Officials said the new recruitment will increase the department’s reach in rural areas.

The cabinet also cleared the construction of a new Bihar Bhavan in Mumbai. The project will cost over ₹314 crore and will support Bihar residents who visit or work in Maharashtra. The building will offer accommodation and administrative help.

Several education-related decisions were also taken. The government approved new teaching and non-teaching posts at Government Polytechnic, Bagaha. Funds were sanctioned for hundreds of secondary and higher secondary schools to improve facilities and learning quality.

In addition, the cabinet backed infrastructure and logistics projects to support trade and agriculture. Leaders said these decisions will create jobs, improve services, and support long-term growth in Bihar.
