Resurvey 2.0 should be error free, Andhra Pradesh Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad said on Thursday, stressing that accuracy matters more than speed. He said the government has extended the survey timeline to 140 days to ensure careful checks at every stage.
The Minister told officials that land records affect livelihoods and must reflect ground reality. He directed survey teams to work closely with landowners and explain each step clearly. Officials must not rush the process or ignore local concerns.
To build trust, the government wants farmers and landowners present during surveys. If a concerned farmer is absent, officials should postpone the exercise and fix another date. The Minister said this approach will reduce disputes and complaints later.
He also asked senior revenue officers to monitor field work regularly and resolve issues on the spot. Any errors found during verification should be corrected immediately, without pushing the burden onto citizens.
Resurvey 2.0 should be error free because it forms the base for future land transactions, welfare schemes, and legal clarity, the Minister said. He added that transparency and public participation remain the government’s top priorities.
