The decision came a day after the victim’s parents met Bihar Director General of Police Vinay Kumar at his residence. During the meeting, they alleged that the state police was trying to hush up the matter. Following their appeal, the Chief Minister took a decisive step to ensure transparency.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary confirmed the development through a post on X. He stated that Nitish Kumar had urged the Centre to hand over the investigation to the CBI in the interest of justice.
