The Telangana Kabaddi Association will host the Youth Telangana Kabaddi Championship in Hyderabad from August 30 to September 3. The event will take place at the LB Indoor Stadium.
Association president Kasani Vireesh Mudiraj, who is also Vice President of the Indian Kabaddi Federation, said eight strong teams from across Telangana will compete. He explained that the event aims to showcase the spirit, strength, and skills of Telangana youth through kabaddi.
Union Minister Kishan Reddy and Telangana Sports Minister Vakati Srihari will attend the opening ceremony as chief guests. Several dignitaries, sports officials, and well-known personalities will also join to encourage the players.
A total of 560 players registered from all districts. Of them, selectors shortlisted 239 to represent their teams. Organizers said the tournament will promote kabaddi and motivate more youngsters to embrace the sport as a path to discipline, fitness, and pride.
