A Bus full of students and teachers met with an accident in Sasaram early Tuesday morning while heading to Patna for an educational tour. The Bus full of students and teachers met with an accident in Sasaram near Sohsa village on National Highway-319 around 12:30 AM after the driver lost control and hit a heavy vehicle.
The bus carried 36 students, seven teachers, and one guardian. Two teachers, Sanjay Kumar Rai and Puneet Kumar Singh, died on the spot. Their sudden death shocked the school community and local residents.
Eleven children suffered injuries in the crash. Rescue teams and local people quickly shifted them to Sasaram Sadar Hospital. Doctors said most of the injured students remain in stable condition. Several teachers also received treatment for minor injuries.
Police reached the spot soon after the crash. The driver fled from the scene, and officers have started an investigation to find the exact cause.
