Rahul Gandhi Faces Black Flag Protest in Ara, Offers Toffees

Rahul Gandhi faces black flag protest in Ara

During the Voter Rights Yatra in Ara, BJP workers showed black flags to Rahul Gandhi. They protested over remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother during his Darbhanga visit. Rahul Gandhi noticed the protest, stepped out of his vehicle, and handed toffees to the BJP workers.

As his convoy entered Ara, BJP workers waved black flags and raised slogans in support of Narendra Modi. Many wore black clothes, and the protest was led by BJP Yuva Morcha’s district leaders. The slogans grew louder as Rahul Gandhi’s roadshow reached the town.

Rahul’s Voter Rights Yatra began from Chhapra on Saturday morning and arrived in Ara by afternoon. BJP workers gathered in large numbers to stage the protest. Despite the confrontation, Rahul Gandhi kept a calm tone and attempted to turn the protest into a lighter moment by distributing toffees.

Alongside Rahul Gandhi, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav were also present during this part of the Yatra. The incident highlighted the political heat in Bihar ahead of the 2025 Assembly elections.
