Telangana Minister Konda Surekha extended strong support to Justice Sudarshan Reddy, the INDIA bloc’s Vice President candidate, urging voters to back him in the upcoming elections. She appealed to people to treat his candidacy as a matter of pride for Telugu citizens and ensure his victory.
The introduction ceremony of Justice Sudarshan Reddy took place in Hyderabad on Monday under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Minister Surekha attended the program, personally met the candidate, expressed solidarity, and later joined him for lunch. She said his presence in the Vice Presidential race was a proud moment at a time when the influence of Telugu leaders in Delhi politics has been declining.
Surekha recalled the legacy of Telugu leaders such as Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya, Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, Puchalapalli Sundaraiah, Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, V.V. Giri, P.V. Narasimha Rao, Jaipal Reddy, Venkaiah Naidu, and N.T. Rama Rao. She emphasized that it is the responsibility of Telugu people to stand behind Sudarshan Reddy and continue this legacy.
She further alleged that India’s constitutional institutions are under threat in the current Modi regime. That is why, she said, the INDIA bloc fielded a candidate with deep constitutional knowledge and integrity. She stressed that protecting the Constitution requires Sudarshan Reddy’s election as Vice President and vowed to work for his victory.
