The Ration Card e-KYC Deadline in Bihar has been extended to March 31. The decision gives relief to nearly 1.5 crore beneficiaries who have not completed their verification.
The government runs the Public Distribution System for more than 8 crore beneficiaries in the state. However, many people still need to complete their e-KYC. Because of this delay, the government decided to extend the Ration Card e-KYC Deadline.
Officials had earlier fixed the deadline for February 15 and later February 28. Many beneficiaries could not complete the process in time. So the authorities gave another extension.
Ration card holders must finish the e-KYC process before March 31. If they miss the deadline, they may lose their ration benefits.
The government has asked district officials to speed up the process. Ration card holders who live outside Bihar can also complete e-KYC at any fair price shop in India.
