A shocking sister tied to tree brother murdered case from Bihar has finally reached justice after more than three decades. A court in Muzaffarpur sentenced five men to life imprisonment for killing a man who tried to rescue his sister during a land dispute.
The incident happened in 1991 in Shivrahan Chaturbhuj village under Ahiyapur police station. According to the complaint, the accused tried to grab a piece of land. When Basanti Devi opposed them, they tied her to a tree and misbehaved with her.
Her brother Kunwar Rai rushed to save her. During the confrontation, one of the accused shot him with a licensed gun. Others also attacked him with sticks. He later died in hospital due to his injuries.
After years of investigation and court hearings, the judge found five accused guilty. The court sentenced them to life imprisonment and also imposed a ₹50,000 fine on each convict.
The verdict brought relief to the victim’s family, who waited 35 years for justice in the sister tied to tree brother murdered case.
