The BRABU Senate Meeting Agenda has sparked fresh controversy before the upcoming senate meeting at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) in Muzaffarpur. Senator Manoj Kumar Vats raised serious concerns about the BRABU Senate Meeting Agenda and the proposals listed for discussion.
Vats said the agenda includes several questionable recommendations. He claimed that some colleges with weak infrastructure received proposals for permanent affiliation. At the same time, better-equipped colleges received only temporary affiliation proposals.
The senate will also review the university’s budget of about ₹1,115 crore. Members will discuss affiliation proposals for nearly 60 colleges. The meeting may also approve new vocational courses. Officials may also consider introducing the Bajika language as a subject.
Vats said he will raise these concerns strongly during the meeting. He also plans to question the delay in student union elections. Some student groups may protest during the session.
