Rajya Sabha Elections: Pappu Yadav Claims MLAs Sold Like Animals

Rajya Sabha Elections – Pappu Yadav alleges MLAs sold for ₹2–5 crore

During the Rajya Sabha Elections, Independent MP Pappu Yadav made a sharp allegation about money power in politics. The Rajya Sabha Elections for five seats in Bihar took place on Monday.

Speaking to reporters in Patna, Pappu Yadav said rich people tried to influence the voting. He claimed some MLAs received offers between ₹2 crore and ₹5 crore.

He compared the situation to a market where people trade animals. Yadav said some leaders treated MLAs like dogs, cats, cows, and oxen.

He did not name any political party. However, he said money power often affects Rajya Sabha polls.

Yadav also said such practices weaken democracy. He added that leaders should focus on public issues instead of money and political deals.

Voting for the seats continued amid high political tension. Leaders also feared possible cross-voting during the election.
