Anti-encroachment drive chaos in Patna turned tragic when a street vendor died after coming in contact with a live wire near AIIMS. The incident happened when officials were expected to clear roadside stalls, causing panic among vendors.
The victim, identified as Ravi Ranjan Kumar, was trying to move his litti cart quickly. During the rush, his cart touched a hanging electric wire. Water on the road made the situation worse, and he suffered a fatal electric shock.
The incident occurred on Tuesday near AIIMS in Patna. After his death, angry family members staged a protest and blocked the road the next day. Shops near the hospital also shut during the protest.
