The Vande Mataram Mandatory in Bihar Schools decision has been announced by the Bihar government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The state has directed all government schools to include the national song Vande Mataram in their morning assemblies. The order aims to promote respect for national symbols and strengthen patriotic values among students.
According to the new directive, schools must sing Vande Mataram at least once every week during the morning prayer assembly. The government also instructed officials across districts to ensure that all educational institutions follow the rule strictly.
The Vande Mataram Mandatory in Bihar Schools guideline also says the song should be sung during national festivals, government functions, and other official events. Authorities have asked school heads to supervise the implementation and make sure students and staff respect the national song.
Officials said the step supports national unity and encourages students to understand the importance of India’s national symbols. Any negligence or disrespect toward the national song may face strict action from authorities.
