The Ethanol Quota Increase in Bihar may boost the state’s ethanol industry and create large job opportunities. State Industries Minister Dilip Jaiswal shared this plan during a media briefing in Patna.
He said the central government has agreed to raise Bihar’s ethanol purchase limit. This decision may help local ethanol plants increase production and attract fresh investment. The Ethanol Quota Increase in Bihar could also strengthen the state’s industrial growth.
At present, Bihar has about 15 ethanol plants. These plants produce nearly 50 crore litres of ethanol each year. Earlier, a reduced purchase quota forced some plants to slow down production.
The state government now plans to expand the ethanol sector. Officials believe new investments may reach nearly ₹50 lakh crore. The government also aims to create around one crore jobs in the next five years across Bihar.
