Daroga Kaushal Kishor suicide shocked the police department in Bihar after a young sub-inspector shot himself in Hajipur on Monday evening. The officer used his service revolver inside his rented room in Bankman Colony near a police outpost area.
According to police officials, Daroga Kaushal Kishor suicide happened while his wife was in another room of the house. When family members heard the gunshot, they rushed to the room and found the door locked from inside. They broke open the door and discovered him lying injured with a gunshot wound.
Kaushal Kishor belonged to the 2019 batch of Bihar Police. He had recently joined duty in Hajipur after a transfer from Bidupur police station about two weeks ago. His marriage took place only a few months earlier.
Police suspect personal reasons behind the tragic step. Senior officers and a forensic team reached the spot and started an investigation.
