The Tejashwi Yadav Hemant Soren ticket request issue came into focus after the Bihar leader made a statement during a visit to Ranchi. He said the party gave tickets to one or two candidates in the Bihar Assembly elections at the request of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Speaking to the media, Tejashwi Yadav said the INDIA alliance did not ignore any partner while distributing seats for the elections. According to him, the RJD considered suggestions from allies and accommodated a few candidates based on requests from Hemant Soren.
Earlier, leaders of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) had expressed anger, claiming the party did not get any seat in the Bihar Assembly elections. This led to a brief verbal clash between leaders of the two parties.
Tejashwi also said party workers form the backbone of any political organization. He added that strengthening the party in Jharkhand would also strengthen the opposition alliance at the national level.
In the last Bihar Assembly elections, the NDA won a clear majority in the state, while the opposition alliance secured fewer seats.
