Court Issues Warrant Against 11 Policemen for Skipping Testimony

Warrant Against 11 Policemen after skipping testimony in Bihar court

A Bihar court has issued a Warrant Against 11 Policemen after they skipped court testimony in an old criminal case. The order came from a district and additional sessions court in Bagaha, West Champaran. The judge took strict action when the policemen did not appear in court.

The case dates back to 1994. It relates to a police encounter with the Ramchandra Chaudhary gang in the Govardhana police station area. Police had gone to a forest area to catch the gang. The criminals allegedly opened fire on the police team.

Police officers returned fire during the encounter. However, the gang members managed to escape from the spot.

During the recent hearing, the court noticed that key police witnesses did not appear. Because of this, the judge issued a Warrant Against 11 Policemen. The court also ordered them to appear on the next hearing date.

Officials said the court wants to move the long-pending case forward without further delay.
