A Kishanganj wild elephant panic spread among villagers when a giant wild elephant suddenly appeared on the Dhanthola-Doriya main road in Bihar’s Kishanganj district on Thursday morning. The unexpected sight created fear and confusion among people travelling through the area.
The incident took place in Dhanthola Panchayat under the Dighalbank block. Locals said wild elephants often move through nearby forest areas, and their movement has troubled villages for some time. On this day, the huge elephant walked onto the busy road, forcing people to stop their vehicles and move away quickly for safety.
Villagers stood at a distance and recorded videos of the animal while ensuring their safety. Some residents said such incidents have become more common in the region and have increased concerns among people living near forest areas.
Forest officials advised villagers to stay alert and avoid approaching wild animals. The Kishanganj wild elephant panic highlights the growing conflict between wildlife movement and human settlements in the region.
