Samrat Choudhary Out of Patna for the first time after becoming Bihar’s Chief Minister. On Friday, he travelled from Patna to Sonpur in Saran district with his family and visited the famous Hariharnath Temple.
During the visit, Samrat Choudhary Out of Patna marked an important moment after he recently took oath as the Chief Minister on April 15. He reached the temple around 3:15 pm along with his wife, son, daughter and other relatives.
At the temple, the Chief Minister offered prayers and performed rituals, including a brief Rudrabhishek. The temple committee welcomed him with a shawl, bouquet and flowers.
Choudhary stayed at the temple for about 35 minutes before returning to Patna. Due to tight security, supporters only got a short chance to greet him.
Local officials said the visit was planned suddenly, so authorities quickly arranged security and preparations at the temple. The Hariharnath Temple in Sonpur is an ancient shrine located at the confluence of the Ganga and Gandak rivers.
