A shocking revelation has come from Munger district in Bihar where a young woman claimed that her mother fabricated rape case for compensation in 2022. The woman recently wrote a letter to the President of India and the High Court stating that the allegations were false and part of a planned conspiracy.
According to the letter, the mother fabricated rape case for compensation of ₹4 lakh available under government victim support schemes. At that time, the girl was around 14 years old. She said her mother and some relatives forced her to tell a false story of kidnapping and rape.
The complaint led to the arrest of a man named Ravi Kumar, who later received a life sentence. The woman now says he is innocent and should not remain in jail for a crime that never happened.
She also accused some police officers of pressuring her during the investigation and forcing her to give a statement in court. The woman has asked for a high-level inquiry and wants to return the compensation money.
The case is now under consideration in court.
