A Patna Police Encounter took place in the Ram Krishna Nagar area on Tuesday. Police confronted a robbery suspect while searching for hidden weapons. The Patna Police Encounter happened when the accused tried to escape and fired at the police team.
Police had earlier arrested Dilip in connection with a jewellery shop robbery on April 19. During questioning, he admitted his role in the crime. He also told police about the location where he had hidden the weapons.
Later, police took him to the spot to recover the weapons. At that moment, Dilip suddenly pulled out a gun and fired at the officers. Police quickly fired back to stop him.
A bullet hit Dilip in the leg during the exchange of fire. Police rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Officials said four criminals took part in the robbery. Police teams are now searching for the other suspects.
