The Ramdhani Yadav encounter in Bihar has sparked debate. Police shot the main accused in the murder of Sultanganj municipal executive officer Krishna Bhushan. The incident took place in Bhagalpur district.
Police say Ramdhani Yadav attacked the officer earlier and then went home. Later, he decided to surrender. His daughter reportedly advised him to give himself up. He then reached the police station and surrendered.
Officers questioned him about the weapon used in the crime. The police team took him to recover the gun. During the operation, two of his associates allegedly arrived at the spot. They opened fire at the police team.
Police returned fire during the clash. This led to the Ramdhani Yadav encounter. Five bullets hit Yadav during the exchange.
Three police personnel also suffered injuries in the gunfight. Officers rushed Yadav to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police later arrested two other suspects linked to the case.
