The Samrat Choudhary Cabinet Expansion in Bihar may take place on May 3 or May 6, according to internal discussions within the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Samrat Choudhary Cabinet Expansion is expected after the completion of voting in the West Bengal Assembly elections.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary formed the new government on April 15 with two deputy chief ministers, Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav. However, the full cabinet has not been formed yet, and many leaders are waiting for ministerial positions.
Reports say the final date may depend on the BJP’s internal report about the West Bengal Assembly elections results. If the report predicts a strong victory, the cabinet expansion may happen on May 6 after the results. If the report shows uncertainty, the party may expand the cabinet earlier on May 3.
Sources say the Bihar cabinet can have up to 36 ministers. However, the government may keep one or two posts vacant for future political adjustments.
