The Research Park at IIT Patna has received approval from the Bihar cabinet led by Samrat Choudhary. The project aims to promote innovation and create new job opportunities in the state. The government has sanctioned about ₹305 crore for the development of the Research Park at IIT Patna, which will support research, startups, and technology companies.
The research park will focus on several sectors. These include electric vehicles, wireless technology, healthcare innovation, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, clean water solutions, and data analytics. Officials expect more than 100 companies to operate from the park. The project could generate over 10,000 jobs in the coming years.
The cabinet also approved a major forensic project in Punpun. A campus of National Forensic Sciences University and a Central Forensic Science Laboratory will be built on 50 acres of land. The state has approved around ₹287 crore for this project.
Officials say these projects will strengthen research, improve investigations, and create new economic opportunities in Bihar.
