The statement “Anant Singh Party Hain Kya?” created political buzz in Bihar after Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary responded to comments made by JDU MLA Anant Kumar Singh on ending the state’s liquor ban. The remark came when reporters asked him about Singh’s demand to remove prohibition.
Mokama MLA Anant Singh recently urged the government to lift the liquor ban. He claimed the policy has failed and argued that illegal alcohol and other harmful substances are increasing among youth. He also said he plans to discuss the issue with Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
Responding to this, Vijay Choudhary dismissed the demand and said the statement was only Singh’s personal opinion. He asked, “Anant Singh Party Hain Kya?” and stressed that government policy will not change.
He also clarified that the Bihar government remains committed to continuing the prohibition law and will follow the policy direction set earlier by former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
