In a shocking case, Bihar police become kidnappers has become a trending concern after two inspectors and two other personnel were arrested for alleged kidnapping and ransom demand. The incident took place during a vehicle checking operation in Nawada. Police personnel reportedly stopped a car and detained three people, claiming they were intoxicated. Soon after, the situation turned into an alleged kidnapping case, and a ransom demand of ₹5 lakh was made.
The victims informed their family, who later paid ₹1.5 lakh to secure release of the vehicle and individuals. Investigation later revealed the involvement of police officials in the extortion.
Following a complaint, Jamui police arrested four accused, including two inspectors. Cash and the vehicle used in the incident were also recovered during the investigation.
Authorities have confirmed that strict action will be taken against all involved personnel. The case has triggered public concern over misuse of police power and corruption within the system.
