The Ward Member Murder in Purnia has shocked residents after attackers allegedly entered a local leader’s home and beat him to death. The incident took place in Dhusmal village under the Anagarh police station area of Purnia district in Bihar.
According to police, the victim was 57-year-old ward member Ashfaq Ansari. Several villagers reportedly entered his courtyard during the afternoon and started an argument related to an old family dispute. The situation soon turned violent, and the group attacked him with sticks.
Ansari suffered serious internal injuries during the assault. His condition worsened quickly, and he died while being taken to the hospital. The Ward Member Murder in Purnia created tension in the village, and police increased security in the area.
The victim’s daughter later filed a complaint against six people. Police arrested the main accused, a woman named Nabishta, while other suspects remain absconding. Officers said police teams are conducting raids to arrest the remaining accused.
Authorities believe the attack happened because of a long-running family dispute. Police have started a detailed investigation and promised strict action against all those involved.
