Bulldozers Will Roar Again in Patna from May 2 as the administration prepares to restart a major anti-encroachment campaign across the city. Officials say the move aims to clear illegal structures and improve traffic flow on key roads.
District Magistrate Dr. Thyagarajan SM and SSP Kartikeya Sharma have formed nine teams to carry out the operation. Bulldozers Will Roar Again in Patna during the multi-agency drive that will continue until May 30. Authorities warned that anyone who tries to obstruct the campaign will face strict legal action.
The operation will cover six zones of Patna Municipal Corporation along with Khagaul, Phulwari Sharif and Danapur municipal areas. Major roads such as Boring Road, Atal Path, Kankarbagh Main Road and areas around Gandhi Maidan will remain top priority.
Officials said repeat offenders who encroach again may face FIRs and fines. Temporary encroachments may attract a ₹5,000 penalty, while permanent structures may lead to a ₹20,000 fine. Police will also run special vehicle checks during the campaign.
Hospitals and key traffic corridors will receive special monitoring so ambulances and patients do not face delays. Authorities will record the entire operation on video to maintain transparency.
