A major action was taken in Bihar’s West Champaran district after a viral video surfaced online. The Majhaulia SI suspended case came to light when a clip allegedly showed a police officer involved in extortion. Soon after the video spread on social media, the police department ordered strict action.
According to officials, Majhaulia SI suspended refers to Sub-Inspector Janardan Pandey, who was posted in Majhaulia police station area. West Champaran Superintendent of Police Shaurya Suman ordered his suspension after the video raised serious allegations of illegal money collection.
The department also took action against two home guards linked to the incident. Authorities stopped their salaries and started further investigation to verify the claims in the viral video.
Police officials said they follow a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption and misconduct. The district police launched an inquiry to examine the video and gather more evidence.
