The Telangana Water Board shocks SS Rajamouli’s movie ‘Varanasi’ after officials refused a request for a large water supply for the film’s shooting. The production team had asked the board to provide 150 water tankers for the shoot.
Director S. S. Rajamouli is currently filming the big-budget movie Varanasi with Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Reports say the production manager requested the tankers about ten days ago to support the shooting schedule.
However, the Telangana Water Board shocks SS Rajamouli’s movie ‘Varanasi’ by declining the request. Officials said the city is facing intense summer conditions and they must prioritize drinking water for residents.
The decision created discussion in film circles because the team sought a large amount of water for the shoot. The movie is planned on a global scale, and Priyanka Chopra is expected to play the female lead.
Despite this setback, the film team is continuing the shoot with alternative arrangements.
