TVK Leader Anand Meets Palaniswami, Sparks Alliance Speculation in Tamil Nadu

TVK Leader Anand Meets Palaniswami to discuss possible alliance in Tamil Nadu politics

Tamil Nadu politics took a dramatic turn after TVK Leader Anand Meets Palaniswami, the chief of AIADMK, in Chennai. The meeting created strong buzz about a possible political alliance as parties race to form the next government in the state.

The development comes at a crucial time because actor-turned-politician Vijay launched the party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, which emerged as the single-largest party but fell short of the majority mark in the Assembly. As a result, party leaders are exploring support from other parties to secure enough seats to form the government.

According to reports, TVK strategist N. Anand met Edappadi K. Palaniswami, a senior leader of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, at his residence and held discussions for more than an hour. Soon after the meeting, the AIADMK’s scheduled MLAs meeting was reportedly cancelled, which increased speculation about political developments.

Sources say around 40 AIADMK legislators may support Vijay’s TVK government to prevent rival parties from forming the government. If this support materializes, it could help TVK cross the majority mark and take power in Tamil Nadu.

The political development has triggered intense discussions across the state about a possible partnership between TVK and AIADMK.
