Actor-turned-politician Vijay is moving closer to forming the next government in Tamil Nadu. The development has increased excitement among supporters who want to see Thalapathy Vijay as Tamil Nadu CM.
The party led by Vijay, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), emerged as the single largest party in the recent assembly elections with 108 seats. Vijay met the state governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and submitted a formal claim to form the government. Political discussions and alliance talks continue as the party works to secure the required majority.
Support from smaller parties and allies could help Vijay cross the majority mark in the 234-member assembly. Several leaders have also expressed support for allowing him to form the government and prove his strength on the floor of the House.
If the numbers fall in place, the state may soon witness Thalapathy Vijay as Tamil Nadu CM, marking a historic shift in Tamil Nadu politics and a major milestone in Vijay’s political journey.
