Political tensions in Karimnagar intensified on Thursday after BJP workers attacked the car of BRS leader and Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy. The incident took place near the camp office of Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar. The clash created a tense situation in the area and drew heavy police presence. Political tensions in Karimnagar increased as workers from both parties gathered at the spot.
The trouble began after Kaushik Reddy made strong remarks against Union Minister Bandi Sanjay during a press meeting. Angry BJP supporters marched to the camp office and raised slogans demanding that he withdraw his comments and apologize.
During the protest, BJP workers threw stones at Kaushik Reddy’s car. The attack shattered the vehicle’s windows and damaged property at the office premises.
Police rushed to the scene and used a mild lathi charge to disperse the crowd. Several workers reportedly suffered minor injuries during the clash. Authorities later deployed additional forces and tightened security in Karimnagar to prevent further unrest.
