Tadmetla Naxal Attack Case Verdict: High Court Acquits 10 Accused

Tadmetla Naxal Attack Case verdict High Court clears accused

The Tadmetla Naxal Attack Case verdict from the Chhattisgarh High Court has sparked fresh debate. The Tadmetla Naxal Attack Case verdict confirms that all 10 accused in the 2010 Maoist ambush will remain free.

The attack happened on April 6, 2010, near Tadmetla village in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Maoists ambushed security forces during an anti-Naxal operation. The assault killed 75 CRPF personnel and one state police officer.

A bench led by Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal delivered the ruling. The judges supported the earlier trial court decision that cleared the accused.

The court said investigators failed to show clear proof linking the accused to the attack. Judges also pointed out serious gaps in the police investigation.

The bench called the result painful. It noted that the real attackers behind the deaths of 76 security personnel are still unknown.
