Railway Court Summons Kalvakuntla Kavitha: A railway court has issued summons to Kalvakuntla Kavitha in connection with a rail roko protest held in Kamareddy district. The case relates to a demonstration demanding 42% reservations for Backward Classes in Telangana.
According to officials, Railway Court Summons Kalvakuntla Kavitha after railway police registered a case against her and several supporters. The protest reportedly disrupted train movement and violated railway regulations. Authorities booked the case under Sections 147 and 174(a) of the Railway Act.
The Secunderabad Second Judicial Magistrate of First Class Court directed Kavitha to appear in person for the hearing. The court scheduled the appearance at 10:30 AM.
Police also named around 12 other leaders in the case linked to the protest. The demonstration took place as part of a campaign seeking 42% reservation for BC communities in the state.
