Mahesh Kumar Goud Comments on Communists have sparked political discussion in Telangana. Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud said people should not underestimate communist parties in India.
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Goud said many people believe communist influence has declined in the country. However, he said this belief is wrong. According to him, communist ideology and grassroots presence remain strong in several regions. Goud also spoke about the opposition in Telangana politics. He said people gave the opposition role to K. Chandrashekar Rao but claimed that the leader has stayed mostly at his farmhouse.
He added that the Congress respects opposition leaders and supports healthy democratic debate. Goud also alleged that earlier governments tried to weaken opposition leaders and influence MLAs for political gain.
