Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that the government is constructing and will deliver an additional four lakh Indiramma houses over the next two and a half years. He made this statement while attending the Indiramma Indla Gruha Pravesham ceremony in Bendalapadu village, Chandrugonda Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem district. Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Vakati Srihari accompanied him at the event.

As part of the program, the Chief Minister formally handed over silk robes to the beneficiaries moving into their new homes. He also unveiled the Indiramma Indla pylon at Bendalapadu.

During the event, CM Revanth Reddy personally interacted with the new homeowners. “Are you all happy?” he asked. “Are you receiving your ration cards?” He remarked that the joy was visible on the faces of the beneficiaries.

He recalled that Indiramma Houses were first introduced during the tenure of late CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and criticized the BRS government for neglecting housing for the poor over the past ten years. Revanth Reddy emphasized that over the next decade, the goal is to ensure that every poor family has a home. He also assured that newly married couples would be eligible for Indiramma Houses in the future.

“If houses had been sanctioned during the BRS rule at the rate of two lakh per year, the state would already have 20 lakh homes by now,” he said. He criticized former CM KCR for failing to deliver the promised double-bedroom houses.
