The bus was reportedly moving from the Shamshabad airport workshop to Autonagar for servicing when the incident happened. Officials suspect a short circuit or engine failure may have caused the fire. The flames spread quickly due to the hot weather and dry conditions.
The driver noticed smoke coming from the vehicle and immediately stopped it on the roadside. Both the driver and cleaner got out quickly and avoided injuries. Firefighters reached the spot and managed to control the blaze after some effort.
No passengers were inside the bus at the time of the incident. Authorities are now investigating the exact cause of the fire.
