Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy BJP Office Warning created a political storm after he said the state government would protest at the BJP office if the Centre fails to procure crops from farmers.
Speaking at a public meeting in Asifabad district, Revanth Reddy said the state is buying paddy and maize from farmers and expects the Centre to lift the stocks without delay. The Telangana government has already started large-scale procurement, he added.
The Revanth Reddy BJP Office Warning came while he was addressing farmers’ concerns over crop procurement. He said the government would not step back on issues affecting farmers and demanded immediate action from the Centre.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the proposed Thummadihetti Barrage project and said Telangana would continue discussions with Maharashtra to move the project forward. He criticized previous governments for ignoring long-term irrigation needs and promised support for farmers across the state.
