India-Oman Free Trade Pact Begins, Boosting Trade and Export Opportunities

India-Oman Free Trade Pact creates new export and trade opportunities

The India-Oman Free Trade Pact started on June 1. The agreement marks a major step in economic ties between the two countries. The India-Oman Free Trade Pact will help Indian exporters reach new markets and increase trade.

The deal gives Indian products easier access to the Oman market. Key sectors include textiles, agriculture, engineering goods, automobiles, plastics, marine products, and jewellery. These industries could see higher demand in Oman.

The agreement also supports investment and services trade. Indian companies and professionals may find more business opportunities in the Gulf nation.

Government officials expect the pact to strengthen India’s position in the Gulf region. They also expect it to increase bilateral trade in the coming years. Trade between India and Oman already exceeds $11 billion annually.
