RB ENC Mohan Naik Remand: Court Orders 14-Day Judicial Custody

RB ENC Mohan Naik Remand after court orders 14-day judicial custody in disproportionate assets case

RB ENC Mohan Naik Remand became a major talking point after a court ordered 14 days of judicial custody for Roads and Buildings (R&B) Engineer-in-Chief Mohan Naik in a disproportionate assets case. RB ENC Mohan Naik Remand followed his arrest by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials after extensive searches at multiple locations.

ACB officers conducted simultaneous raids at 15 places, including Mohan Naik’s residence in Madhapur. After questioning him, officials produced him before the court. The court then sent him to judicial custody, and authorities shifted him to Chanchalguda Jail.

Mohan Naik, a native of Kulaspur Thanda in Nizamabad district, joined government service nearly 29 years ago. He worked in several positions before becoming R&B Engineer-in-Chief in September last year.

Officials alleged that he played a key role in irregularities related to tender allocations and bill clearances. The ACB investigation reportedly found assets worth ₹17.94 crore beyond his known sources of income. Authorities estimate the market value of these assets at more than ₹150 crore.
